Is there really a free tier forever?+
Yes. The Free plan is free forever for individuals and includes 5 concurrent terminals, SSH, 30-day history, and the AI assistant up to your monthly free quota. No credit card required.
I joined during the private beta — what do I keep?+
Every user who joined during the private beta keeps Pro free for 12 months from general availability. The private beta is now retired; downloads are open to everyone.
Can I bring my own API key?+
Yes. On Pro you can bring your own Anthropic API key — it’s stored in your OS keychain and used directly for your queries. Support for additional providers (OpenAI, Azure, Bedrock, self-hosted) is on the roadmap.
Can I self-host?+
Not yet. The client app is already local-first — your keys and execution stay on your machine on every plan. Self-hosting the cloud orchestrator is on the Enterprise roadmap.
Is the encrypted Vault really free?+
Yes — the Vault and its zero-knowledge cross-device sync are included on every plan, including the Free tier. Your SSH keys, credentials, and snippets are sealed with AES-256-GCM under a key derived from your passphrase; only ciphertext ever syncs, so our servers never see your passphrase, keys, or plaintext.
Do you offer annual discounts?+
Yes — 20% off Pro on annual billing. Enterprise is annual by default, negotiated.
How does billing work for teams?+
Per active seat, billed monthly. Inactive seats (no login for 30d) aren't charged. Add/remove seats anytime, prorated.
